Handcraft Mattress Company has developed a wide range of custom mattress solutions that come from over 40 years of experience building boat beds. This page shows our full line of Innerspring, Pocket Coil, Latex, Gel Memory Foam and Foam Mattress models and thicknesses to meet every berth size and height. Each boat mattress is customized to your berth to insure a perfect fit and finger space for tucking bedding in. All our mattresses conveniently fold for easy transportation and installation on your boat – we offer our custom hinge-fold to access storage or equipment underneath; and the bottom side has a protective vinyl waterproof layer to prevent mildew and moisture, while prolonging the life of the mattress.

INNERSPRING & POCKET COIL MATTRESSES

Our Innerspring Mattresses have premium Bonnell coils (hourglass-shaped springs that provide support) in 4-turn low coil or 5-turn tall coil availability. Premium pocket coils and micro coils offer the same technology used in brand name mattresses for the home. All our Innerspring Mattresses are made with premium comfort layers and plush, quilted fabrics.

Mariner ~ medium firm, 6″- 7″

The Mariner is a medium firm custom Innerspring mattress. This is a great choice for Crew, Guest and Bunks staterooms where thickness is an issue.

System 2 ~ extra firm, 6 1/2″- 7 1/2″

System 2 is a premium extra firm Innerspring mattress with a tall coil. The interior has all-cotton padding that is tufted for an extra firm feel.

System 3 is an Innerspring premium pillow-top mattress. The interior has a tall coil with 1 ½” micro coil and 1” Latex comfort layer, with pillow-top for a medium firm feel.

System 4 is one of our best sellers and comes with premium bamboo fabric with Cool-Touch® features. Tack and jump quilting give this mattress a plush, pillow-top feel with firm base.

System 5 is our most popular mattress featuring eco-friendly deluxe Tencel fabric, Cool-Touch® features, tack and jump quilting for a plush, medium firm pillow-top style mattress. Pocket coils offer no-motion when partner gets in and out of bed. A very plush, premium mattress.

GEL MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES

Our Gel Memory Foam Mattresses add a comfort layer that offers a unique blend of memory foam infused with gel beads
that rapidly channel heat away from the body, resulting in a more uniform temperature in both
cool and warm environments. Gel Memory Foam combined with our Latex or pocket coil base offers qualities similar to what you would see in brand name mattresses with premium comfort layers and plush, smooth fabrics.

Gel Over Latex ~ 7″- 8″

3” Gel Memory Foam over 4” or 5” firm Latex base. Makes a very plush Memory Foam mattress with a plush, soft feel.

System 6 – Gel Over Pocket Coil ~ 8″- 9″

3” Gel Memory Foam over 4” pocket coil base offers a firm base with plush top layer. The no-motion pocket coil offers a premium mattress similar to brand name home models.

LATEX MATTRESSES

Our HMC Talalay Latex mattresses have a plush, buoyant feel and are available in a great range of densities. While the Talalay Latex process takes longer and consumes more energy than other regular Latex, the two additional process steps improve the feel, quality and consistency of the finished Latex.

A Latex mattress is a good choice if you like a soft surface feel and a lower profile bed. We also offer a combination option in our Talalay Premium Plush Latex bed that has a Talalay Latex base for firmer support and a 2″ soft Talalay Latex top for a truly luxurious feel!

Standard Talalay Pillow-Top Latex ~ 4 1/2″ – 6 1/2″

Talalay Latex is our most popular low-profile mattress that has a plusher feel and is available in more densities. It is hypo-allergenic and mildew proof. Works great in a marine environment. Talalay Latex offers a more buoyant feel and a long-lasting, durable mattress.

FEATURES: 4 ½” – 5 ½” – 6 ½” thickness options. All Talalay Latex (ILD 44) with pillowtop quilted cover, vinyl bottom lining to help prevent mildew.

Talalay Premium Plush Latex ~ 7 1/2″

Our best Latex offers a 2” soft layer over a 4”-5” firm base with upgraded pillow-top for a very plush top and firm base so you don’t bottom out. Popular choice for a plush, low profile mattress at 7 ½” thick. It has a Cool Touch® bamboo fabric cover, is hypo-allergenic and mildew proof. Works great in a marine environment. Also available in 8 1/2″ thickness, please add $100 to prices below.

FOAM MATTRESSES

Our Handcraft Mattress Company value style line of Foam Mattresses are great for bunks, crew or guestroom beds. The mattresses are made of high-density Poly Foam; Gel Memory Foam over Poly Foam; or a Latex Poly combination. The Foam mattresses are available in 4-7” thicknesses and includes vinyl marinization on the bottom of the mattress to waterproof the bed. Each mattress is customized to fit your boat space and comes with a 5-year limited lifetime warranty.

Standard Foam Mattress ~ 4 1/2″- 6 1/2″

High density Poly Foam comes in medium firm density. Great for Guest stateroom and Bunk cabins that don’t get a lot of use.

Our patent-pending straps and buckles design makes placing and removing sheets on hinge-fold mattresses easy. Use the attached straps to pull mattress up and lower back into space

Use zippers to join 2 mattresses together to feel like a 1-Piece mattress

Our sheet snaps are a convenient addition for V-Berth spaces with inside corners where elastic won’t hold on sheets. Our snaps securely keep sheets in place

Ideal for berths/platforms with no keeper rails, our Velcro Fastener installs on the bottom of your mattress and keeps it from shifting around

Add up to 4 additional inches in length and width to your mattress for a perfect custom fit. Perfect for Walk-Arounds, works well with keeper rails that are less than half the thickness of the mattress

MATTRESS TOPPERS

Our pillow-top style, ultra-plush Mattress Toppers provide a one-piece quilted sleeping surface that covers open crevices and seams between cushions or add comfort on top of an existing mattress for a more restful, comfortable night’s sleep. As with every Handcraft Mattress Company product, our Mattress Toppers are custom-fit to your boat bed’s specifications for a perfect fit. The Overnighter

Handcraft Mattress Company is proud to introduce our newest innovation, the Overnighter. It’s a complete bed in a bag, portable sleep system that comes in a stowable heavy-duty storage bag. This fold-out bed Topper is customized to your boat to give you a comfortable night’s sleep wherever you go!
