War Heroes on Water

Handcraft Mattress Company owner and president, Dave Ogle, was honored to be part of the August 16, 2018 inaugural War Heroes on Water sportfishing tournament event as it celebrated 27 combat wounded warriors. This first-of-its-kind event enabled the Southern California and Santa Catalina Island communities to show their respect to those who have sacrificed much to protect the United States of America.

Loan Depot CEO Anthony Hsieh hosted 27 veterans, both combat-wounded and those with multiple deployments, at his home in Newport Beach, California, to kick off the War Heroes on Water tournament. Dave Ogle was one of the sponsors and donors invited to the catered private party to celebrate America and its defenders. These soldiers, some who had lost limbs in foreign wars, were shocked by the grand gesture for which no expense was spared. Dave Ogle was pleased to present a $2,500 donation to the War Heroes on Water event and support local community efforts to recognize these brave warriors, commenting, “I was proud to be a supporter of the War Heroes on Water tournament sponsored by Anthony Hsieh and his Bad Company sport fishing team. The reception party was great and the opportunity to meet some of the service men was humbling.”
